Ranjit Sagar Dam An Amazing Place!!

Yesterday went to Ranjit Sagar Dam with Dr. Maulik Varu & Mr. Swadeepsinh Jadeja. Truly an amazing place!! When we reached there we saw about 10+ Black-breaseted Weavers, Indian Silverbills Welcoming us! We also found tailor bird weaving the nest!

After some times we finally found the attraction of the day! Pheasant-tailed Jacana. An amazing bird with beautiful long tail. We saw it was coming towards us by flying! I wonder how much force it would have required to lift the heavy long legs & tail! Amazing strength it has! The bird was so beautiful that I named it as bird of paradise... :)

We also found some usual birds like common moorhens, Indian Moorhens, Cormorants etc.

All in one it was an amazing trip!!
